Picos de Europa – Listar, arrumar e comprimir

How is the best way to pack the backpack for trekking in a week? I do not know. I do not know if there will be even “the best” …
There are several ideas to consider when thinking about tidying up the backpack we will follow in several days of shipment. After some reading and research on the web, I found some points to consider:

– Carry only the essentials (avoid excess clothing, food excesses, surplus goods, etc …). It helps if you make a written list of all the items to carry;
– Put the sleeping bag and sleepwear (eg. shorts, slippers …) in the bottom of the backpack (it is unlikely to need them during the day…);
– Try placing the heaviest materials near your back, for better transport and balance while walking;
– Divide the weight equally on both sides to avoid imbalances in more rugged terrain;
– Compress everything as much as possible, filling the empty space;
– Allow the most used items such as the canteen of water on easily accessible pockets;
– Avoid loose items while walking (eg. bats should be well attached to the backpack to not hold onto any rock).

After all thought out and organized, let’s work:
