Centro Comercial da Sé Restaurant (Funchal – Madeira)

In the historic center of Funchal, near to Sé (Mother Church), we discover the Centro Comercial da Sé Restaurant. With a huge terrace on one of the busiest streets in the city, we were surprised by the pleasant atmosphere we enjoyed while tasting some of the regional delicacies.

A restaurant to consider for a nice meal when visiting Funchal.

From the varied menu, we chose Swordfish Fillets (image above) and a Regional Madeira Kebab (image below), all accompanied with fresh and tasty vegetables. Even with the crowded restaurant, the service was professional and without delay.
The flavors that make famous these icons of Madeiran gastronomy were well present at the table and it was a pleasure to taste each bite of a succulent meat and taste the freshness of a well-prepared fish.

We were toasted with live music throughout the meal that made the atmosphere and experience even more enjoyable. Well-played jazz was the ideal accompaniment to relax and really feel on vacation mood.
This restaurant was thus a pleasant surprise. At first glance, it would be a restaurant for tourists who travel through this artery of the city (we were perhaps the only portuguese having lunch there), but the fair value for money of the suggestions presented, the professional service, the atmosphere and the excellent location make this a restaurant to consider for a nice meal when visiting Funchal.
